What the site provides
InternetSpeedTest.io combines an HTTP download and upload test with latency samples, request-failure counts and practical troubleshooting worksheets. The useful output is evidence you can compare: the destination, time, sample size, confirmed bytes and limits accompany the numbers.
We do not sell broadband plans, assign provider rankings, or certify a connection. No browser speed test can establish the condition of every application or locate a faulty network component from a single measurement.
Publisher and accountability
The publisher is InternetSpeedTest.io. Contact the publisher at info@internetspeedtest.io with questions, accessibility problems or corrections. We do not claim an independently accredited laboratory or a separately verified editorial team. An earlier “Editorial Team” attribution has been removed rather than imply credentials or staffing that have not been established.
How explanations are checked
Measurement descriptions should match the current code. Arithmetic examples are labelled as illustrations. Standards are linked for their definitions, not presented as endorsements. Material corrections appear in the change record, including the October 2026 changes to destinations, sample counts and request-failure labels.
Funding and privacy
The current website release runs without advertising or analytics scripts. It retains the publisher verification metadata and ads.txt entry. If advertising is introduced, its data use and consent controls must be documented and tested first. Access to the tools does not require advertising consent or an account.
