Evidence before a claim
Explanations must identify what is measured and what is inferred. A browser HTTP request is not an individual network packet; a high speed to one server is not a guarantee for another service. The tool should expose enough information to check its arithmetic instead of offering an unexplained quality score.
Illustrative values are labelled and do not represent customer measurements. We do not invent provider statistics, laboratory results, author qualifications, independent reviews or a team identity. Published standards explain definitions and do not certify this product.
Corrections
Send the affected URL, the statement or behaviour, when it occurred, and supporting evidence to info@internetspeedtest.io. Please remove account numbers, passwords and other private information from reports. A screenshot is useful only if it shows the relevant behaviour safely.
For a confirmed measurement defect, the description and implementation should be corrected together. Test outcomes demonstrate particular behaviours; they are not a guarantee of every device, network condition or advertising review outcome.

- Unified upload and download on the website’s own test endpoint. The previous browser release uploaded to an external Cloudflare endpoint while the method described one hosted endpoint.
- Replaced the fixed 24-request description with the actual timed sampling method and visible attempt counts.
- Labelled failed HTTP requests as request failures and removed unsupported sub-percent rating bands and composite activity scores from the current test.
- Counted uploads only after server byte acknowledgement and downloads only after complete expected-length responses.
- Added bounded response deadlines, cancellation, hidden-tab interruption, transfer-failure disclosure and downloadable measurement evidence.
- Removed the unverified “Editorial Team” attribution. Added explicit publisher and correction information.
- Consolidated overlapping request-loss and Wi-Fi guides, with permanent redirects from their previous URLs.
- Kept advertising and analytics disabled in this release.
Languages
The corrected measurement interface and explanations are currently published in English. This release does not label untranslated guidance as translated content. Existing language URLs continue to resolve to the same English edition.
