Does this measure raw packet loss?
No. Browsers do not expose raw ICMP or UDP packet counters here. We count failed or timed-out HTTP requests and show their actual sample size. TCP can recover lost packets without an HTTP request failing.
Why can another speed test give a different number?
It may use a different server, route, protocol, stream count or duration. This test uses the server hosting this website for both upload and download. Hosting capacity and browser overhead can constrain the result.
Do you store my speed test?
Results and notes remain in this open page. The server receives ordinary network requests and hosting logs may record connection information. No analytics or advertising code runs on these pages. Read the privacy policy.
