Functional storage
Language and theme preferences use local storage keys plt-lang and plt-theme. Connection Lab notes and calculators use page memory and clear when the page reloads. Starting a test is not permission for advertising.
Consent records and Google services
We load Google's consent-management service first; the advertising script loads only after valid permission on eligible reading pages. Google receives ordinary connection information to provide its privacy service. Google's consent platform stores your decisions in its consent records; its message lists applicable purposes and partners. Google Analytics remains disabled.
Our local storage key ist-ad-choice-v1 records an optional advertising choice and timestamp. We treat that choice as expired after 180 days, although the stored entry remains until replaced or cleared. A session key ist-privacy-reopen briefly reopens privacy controls after withdrawal. These records are not advertising identifiers and are not sent by us to an analytics service.
After valid permission, Google advertising may use cookies or local storage for ad delivery, reporting, personalization where selected, and fraud prevention. Outside the European consent region we request only non-personalized ads after an explicit opt-in. Non-personalized does not mean cookie-free. Enabled Global Privacy Control keeps advertising blocked. See Google's cookie information.
Change or withdraw your choice
Open Privacy and cookie settings. Rejecting or withdrawing pauses new advertising requests and reloads the page, ending existing advertising frames. European visitors can reopen Google's consent message to manage purposes and partners. Without an available consent service or a known decision, advertising stays blocked. You can use the site's tools without accepting advertising.
To remove this site's stored preferences, use your browser's site-data settings for internetspeedtest.io. Clearing data does not delete downloaded reports, shared copies, third-party records or Android app data. Withdrawal is prospective; it cannot undo processing that has already happened.
